About

A down-to-earth girl who loves living life to the full. ISFP and Type 4 Enneagram. Dancer, musician, budding music producer, yogi, (former) aerialist-in-training, coffee addict and foodie. British born, I grew up in Sydney but have been based in London since 2005. I have a gorgeous silver spotted british shorthair kitty named Miss Ella, who has me wrapped around her soft little paw – and she knows it.

I am passionate about many things of a creative nature – be it music, dance, aerial circus arts or yoga. I love playing the piano and have been playing for 30-ish years. I love creating music and am currently in the process of producing new music. I love jamming with other musicians, and have played a few gigs around London. I love dancing – from latin through to street styles – including waacking, vogue, salsa, hustle, samba, bachata, house and hiphop – and have performed and competed in street dance battles in London. Mostly, I just love feeling that emotional release on the dance floor in the club. I love physical movement – feeling strong, badass and full of vitality – life’s raw energy. Probably explains why I love aerial hoop & silks. I also love the peace and centering that comes with a regular yoga practice.

I love to challenge and improve myself. I love learning new things and being creative. I am teaching myself how to produce and mix music. I taught myself how to create videos for the purpose of sharing my life and making friends with people from all over the world. I appreciate beautiful design. I am passionate about good food, good coffee and good conversation. I love meeting like-minded people who have a great sense of humour and energy for life. I love being active, travelling and appreciating the beauty of nature – particularly the ocean. I love being pampered and like to enjoy the luxuries life can offer – especially if they are thermal spa’s and saunas. I love to travel and explore the wonderfully different cultures and places in this world.

I have an abhorrence of heavy drinking and smoking. I cannot stand secondhand smoke which triggers my asthma and have little respect for those who are proud of their ability to get totally wasted every weekend. I can be very quiet and shy at first, which I think tends to give people a false impression of my personality, but once I feel comfortable with someone I can be rather extroverted. Especially if you get me on the dance floor.

I am oriental in appearance, chinese to be precise. I guess I am considered slim, but that is a relative thing isn’t it. I am generally happy with my body (sadly it is rare to hear a woman say that these days) and am always working on improving my strength, fitness and flexibility. It has been noted by some that my best feature are my legs. I hope to try and maintain that physique. I pretty much live in black jeans, but in the warmer weather (sadly missing in this sun-forsaken motherland) love the breezy comfort of dresses, skirts or shorts & flip-flops (yes we call them thongs in Australia). I would prefer to appear stylish, as opposed to fashionable.

Oh yeh, and I am a senior web developer by day at a top London digital agency.

A note about this blog:
I just want to point out that there is always more than one side to anything I may blog about. I may not always feel that way about whatever it is I am blogging. I think it is important for my readers to remember that I’m only addressing an aspect of my life and how I feel about it at that particular point in time. I may not always feel this way about it. (eg I’m not always down and depressed about life here in London, contrary to what it may appear like from what I sometimes write on this blog). So just treat these blog entries as a snapshot into my thoughts at one particular moment in time.

Hey Kaz, how are you? Don’t know if you remember me back in Tuberavers, but yeah I’m still here surfing for jazz vids hehe! And yeah, thanks for answering my Q in your KAQ!

Anyways, glad to see that you’re still out there doing your thing. Just don’t forget to take care of yourself a little more; I know it’s really tempting to try and excel in a lot of things, and success is very addicting alright, but there are more important things in life, you know? Sometimes it’s better to just loaf lazily and bum around, just chilling and all. Err, sorry if I sound like I’m preaching and all hehe. (-.-;)

Anyways, yeah just wanted to say “hi!”. BTW, damn what are you feeding Ella!?! She’s gone really big! O.O

OK, so yeah, take care! (^.^)d
