Dancing fun
4:47 pm Thu, 29th January 2004I ended up going to dance class afterall last night. And a very good decision that was. It was absolutely awesome!! š We danced to Britney’s “Toxic” – and the routine was soooo coool! It helps that I love that song too. š Oh, and this time, I have a treat for you kids. Instead of describing all the movements to you, I can show you! I took a short video clip of the routines with my digital camera! š (He always splits us into two groups so we have more room to dance, so thats how I managed to take the video.)
The first two clips are of the lyrical routine (expressive movements, always the more technical routine, lots of expressive arms and legs etc, usually slow). The last clip is of the funk routine to Britney’s “Toxic”. Very very cool. He even included floor work in both, which is always fun! I had a great time… and didn’t feel tired at all during the whole class. I felt very energised and “with it”. Yay!

Note in the 2nd video, the girl in the black crop top (midriff exposed) and black pants with white stripes down the side. She’s a REALLY good dancer… and sooo flexible and graceful and “oh-my-gosh” thin! š Anyway, there ya have it! Of course, yet again I am rather sore today. š My back is pretty sore from a particular move we repeated a few times in the Britney routine. Ouchie. š
On a completely different note… here’s what I had for lunch today. Yummmmm… š Its from the cafe next to my work.

holy crap that’s damn good! that’s amazing stuff and that girl in the 2nd vid is so lithe! wow! i definatley like the little finish routine thing. the britney routine is pretty funky as well! all very cool!
i wanna come and watch next time!

Yeh, that girl in the black is definitely very lithe. I was watching her before class started doing some stretching and warm ups. My gosh… her limbs can do almost anything, and it all looks so effortless!!
Anyway, if u think that looks good… u should see the end of year xmas party performances. I’ve never been able to make it to them, but I saw some students from my class practicing for it last yr.. and man.. it looks soooo good!

Blah i’ve seen part of your clip from something else and i must say i feel like i could burst into dance watching you do teh dance to Toxic…Gah you good <3 Meow…And i was wondering if those video still work as i wish to see it agian ^.~
